About

Erica Ammerman is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist and New Jersey native, currently based in Los Angeles. She graduated with a BA in Theatre and a Minor in Dance from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts and Glorya Kaufman International School of Dance, respectively. Her love for telling stories began when she was four years old: the very moment that she put on her first pair of tap shoes. Since then, she has taken every opportunity she can to make art. Throughout her education, she crafted her love for lighting design, while also discovering a new love for production management.

Recently, she has been building her experience as an Assistant Lighting Designer around Los Angeles at Regional Theaters including the Geffen Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse, and South Coast Repertory.

As she continues to grow as a young designer, she always aims to always keep the bigger picture in mind. She strongly believes that when telling stories, community is vital. Erica always works to ensure that the integrity of the story along with the integrity of all of the artists in the room are honored.
Along with lighting design and production management, Erica is continuing to pursue tap dance. She hopes to bring together her passions for design and tap dancing as often as she can and continue to tell stories with compassion and joy.
